What is Gabion Cage?

Gabion cage is a box or basket shape of unit which made of galvanized steel wire. According to where and how the gabion cage will be used, the galvanized wire can be coated with PVC or Galfan, and forming the gabion cage through wire mesh welding or woven.

They are filled with stones (or sometimes with geotextile bag and sand) at the construction site to form flexible, permeable and integral structures, such as park landscape, gabion cage retaining walls, river lining, weirs and other support erosion prevention.
